Black Box Designs using AutoCAD 3D & 3DS Max by Vixmatech Corporation Designers : Page 1
This 3D Design is created using AutoCAD & 3D Studio Max in
combination. We created this design for Nokia Promotional
Booths in Malaysia. The measurements & dimensions of
the Nokia cabinet has to be accurate so that's why we
model the cabinet using AutoCAD since AutoCAD is more
flexible & efficient when you are modeling in 2D.
But for the realistic material texture rendering, 3D Studio Max
is the best choice. Notice the Nokia posters are mapped onto
the surface of the cabinet along with the reflection effects.
3DMax lets you do that easily & fastly.

This is actually a 3D Wire Frame model of 1 section of a
Cooling Tower. We definitely model this Tower using AutoCAD
3D. We use the 3D Array function in AutoCAD to create the top
fan. The 3D Cooling Tower is drawn based on the dimensions
given by the engineers. Not an easy task but worth doing it.
Of course this AutoCAD 3D model can be exported to 3DMax
for further modeling or materials texturing. This design is
actually for the Construction Project: Cooling Towers for
ABF Petronas in Bintulu Sabah, Malaysia.

This is a 3D design for a Boutique in Damansara, Malaysia.
The original floor plan of the Boutique is drawn using AutoCAD
2D. After regioning the lines, the walls are extruded using
AutoCAD 3D. For material texturing, we exported the AutoCAD
file to 3DMax and perform material mapping operations in
3DMax. See.....the thing about 3D Studio Max, the software
is magic when it comes to material texturing. It really makes
your design look more attractive thus more competitive. This is
because, when you map a photo real wood texture image on
a surface of a box for example, it will definitely make the
box look more realistic rather than just coloring it.

This is an interior design of a TV room with rather unique
painting requested by the customer of course. So you can
definitely use 3DMax to map texture required by the customer
and present it back to the customer. The techniques to
map textures and realistic rendering (output images or videos)
in 3D Studio Max is not that difficult actually. This is because
we can say that 3DMax is very user friendly & easy to use.

your designs to realistic forms.

This is the Hotel Lobby of the Dynasty Hotel.
See the ceiling is subtracted a little bit to locate the pillar.
The Lobby has a double ceiling height.
The lobby has a cute reception just below the glass railing.
The human 3D model (the lady opposite the reception)
is imported to the scene just to make the design better
looking & fun to look at.
This Hotel Lobby includes a reception table, railings,
backdrop, chandiliers & pillars.

This is the Custom Toll for the North Port Port Klang
Malaysia. The detailings are really really a lot for this piece.
We designed the custom toll building from scratch using
AutoCAD 2D. Then we exported the AutoCAD 2D file to 3DMax
to convert the 2D shapes into 3D models. After that, we just
in some Omni Lights, some reflections on the glass & the
very simple green truck for the last touch.
This Tol Plaza building includes Crash Bars, Dividers, Pillars,
Pay Booths, Signages, Traffic Lights, Lorries, Trucks, Trees,
Office on the top & etc.

This is a 3D Design of a Cooling Tower with Labels.
Of course the labelings are all done using Photoshop.
There are all together 10 cells for the Cooling Tower located
in Bintulu Malaysia.
The frames of the Tower are all done using AutoCAD 3D.
The 2D Lines of the AutoCAD Cooling Tower plan were
extruded into 3D forms.
We used 3DMax to material texture the building with glossy
white for the walls & metallic red for its metal railing at the top
of the building.

This is the 3D Design of a Rooftop Pool of Hotel Dynasty.
The palm trees are actually imported to the 3D scene using
3DMax. The umbrellas & the relax chairs are also imported.
We have many types of umbrellas & canopies which you can
choose from our black box. The 3d pool scene is complete with
with the bar layouts & other 3d decorations.
